Welcome to The Black Experience (TBE) Expo hosted by Black Impact Collaborative’s online volunteer registration system. Thank you for volunteering and being our most valuable resource.
Black Impact Collaborative is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI.
Join dozens of TBE volunteers who work in a variety of capacities to support and carry out the mission of the organization.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Black Impact Collaborative requires the last 4 digits of your Social Security number for background screening for all volunteer positions. These background screens are done by the State of Michigan at NO COST TO YOU. The information obtained on this site is secured and confidential. We will not share, trade, sell or give access to your personal information to any other organization without your permission.

- All Volunteers who work 6+ hours on the weekend positions will receive a complimentary meal ticket.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Volunteers must be 18 years old (prior to their first shift).
- Youth volunteers must be 12-17 years old (prior to their first shift) – Kids Corner
- Register and attend the required Volunteer Walk-Thru.
- Register and attend a Volunteer Orientation Session.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled shift.
- Dress Code: Must wear the volunteer t-shirt that is provided, with black or khaki pants, knee-length shorts or capris, and comfortable shoes.
- Children, family, friends or pets are NOT allowed to accompany the volunteer during any volunteer shifts at any of our events.
